FLOWERCULTTT

Sivaan Ellen Robin of Flowerculttt is a ceramicist, floral artist and gardener now based on the Hudson River in Catskill, New York. Her work is fueled by a deep love for the magic of the flora growing on this earth, and a reverence for the interconnected systems in nature. Her hand-built clay vessels are an extension of the earthen origin of the botanicals in her sculptural compositions. 

After completing her Sculpture BFA at University of Miami, Sivaan has been on a non linear journey of many artistic formats. Flowerculttt was founded 10 years ago after Sivaan had the opportunity to work in large scale floral art installations. She is enamoured by the vibrancy of creating assemblage art with a community of women, and the ability to do work that centers the collective.

Her raison d’etre has become expanding native pollinator habitat by rending the land she is living on, taking on the challenge of rewilding the land as her ultimate floral installation. The sculptural vessels she makes act like little thrones to honor the blooms within. In her own home, she often showcases one bloom at a time, something from the land that is having its moment in bloom.
